1, Used as an effective crosslinking agent for animal glue, and can improve the viscosity of animal glue. Also used as a curing agent for urea-formaldehyde adhesive, 20% water solution curing speed.
2、When dissolved in a large number of neutral or slightly alkaline water, it produces colloidal precipitation of aluminum hydroxide, when printing and dyeing fabrics, aluminum hydroxide colloid makes it easier for dyestuffs to adhere to plant fibers.
3、Used as turbid water purifying agent, also used as precipitating agent, color-fixing agent, filler and so on. In cosmetics, it is used as raw material for sweat-suppressing cosmetics (astringent).
4, aluminum sulfate is also used to regulate soil pH, because it hydrolyzes to generate aluminum hydroxide while producing a small amount of sulfuric acid dilute solution.
5、It is used as the precipitant of rosin glue, wax emulsion and other rubber in paper making industry, as Flocculant in water treatment, and also used as the inner retention agent of foam fire extinguisher, raw material for manufacturing alum, aluminum white, petroleum decolorant, deodorant, raw material of some drugs, and so on.
