Store in a cool and dry warehouse, protect from exposure to sun and rain during transportation. It should not be stored and transported together with acid and oxidizer. Prevent dissolution by moisture. If the package is wet, it means that the contents have been deliquescent, and must be stacked separately from the dry package. Can not be stored in the open air, moisture packaging should be dealt with urgently. In case of fire, it can be extinguished with water and sand.
Sodium thiosulfate is synthesised in a number of ways, and the raw material used to make Anhydrous Sodium Thiosulfate is sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate. The pure sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate crystals are heated so that all of them are dissolved in their own water of crystallisation, and are heated and concentrated below 100°C until a large number of anhydrous crystals are precipitated, then the crystals are separated and dried below 100°C.
